greyfriars bobby

i just read a novel " GREYFRIARS BOBBY " a faithful dog who watch and guard over his master's grave until his own death in 1872. This is a real story !

Bobby was a Skye Terrier whose master, John Gray, died in 1858. Bobby was so devoted to his master that for fourteen years Bobby lay on the grave in Greyfriars Cemetery , leaving only for food. Bobby would go to Mr.Traill in his cafe for getting some food. 

Sir William Chambers (The Lord Provost of Edinburgh) decided to pay Bobby's licence and presented him a collar with inscription " Greyfriars Bobby from the Lord Provost 1867 licensed. "

Baroness Angelia Georgina Burdett-Coutts, President of the Ladies Committee of the RSPCA, visited Edinburgh on several occasions to see Bobby. The Baroness received permission from the City Council to made a granite fountain with a statue of Bobby on top as a lasting memorial to the loyal little Bobby.

 John Gray grave..master of Greyfriars Bobby. he lay on his grave and only leaving it for food after 1 o'clock . If it were raining, he would lay under the grave next to his master's.

new friends. new community

yesterday, i woke up at09.00am. OMG ! whereas, my alarm was ringing while I was sleeping. But i couldn't wake up. so sleepy !!

i accompanied my little sister to her school. afterward, i played with my little brother. and opened my blog. i am happy, i have found some friends there.

in the evening, i went to PIM  (pendalaman iman mudika) St. DonBosco. i used to join in OMK St. Michael, so it was my new experience.they have many fun activities. we sang, listened sermon, etc. there was a welcome for each new members. every each of us introduced our own self. afterthat they all sang a welcome song. they had also a little b'day party for those members who celebrated their b'day injuly include my friend, Lidya. she was born on august 4th ( if i am not mistaken ! ). when we would go home, we was given a piece of paper that was written name of our friends in PIM . we would be a guardian angel. our job is pray for their will, hope, etc., so FUN ! i met many friends there. they are very kind and friendly. they aren't picky in making friends. i hope i can make a good friend with them :D

my church , St Maria Imakulata has been building . i wish it would going on quickly and could be a place where can bless their members :D

this year, i'm already 18 yo . i'm affraid of getting older. yesterday, i looked into my lecture schedule. seeing this, i thought something . there are some my hope:
due to don;t have some class with my friends, it makes me to finding new friends. i hope i can get many good friends there.

i hope that, the decision have been taken by me is true :)

i hope my dreams will be come true ! to be what i want, to be good sister, making my parents happy and making everybody surround me are happy.

i hope,i can study well , not only study lessons, but also the good life style.

i can't sing, but i wish i could ! :)

i had already planned to study aboard but i can't due to lack of money. i decided to expand my knowledge with a postgraduate qualification . whether it will be in domestic or aboard. . i have been learning some grammar about TOEFL . i hope it will be useful. i also hope , u can help me :)

i went to orphanage and nursing home with OMK St.Michael. This was totally perfect experience . I met grandpa and grandma at nursing home. most of them have miserable disease . some can't eat by themselves . some are blind, cripple, etc. I and my friends gave a little food and helped them to eat. after taking some picture with them, we went to orphanage, there is a house where many orphan live in. they don't have parents. but they still keep smiling even they know it. we gave them some toys. i were them, i will be sad, surely, it was very hard for me. so I should be patient and keep caring of them. i hope u can do it also. (:
